  IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT! This week I learned about Randy Pausch, who was a professor of computer science. He gave a speech on the a series called The Last Lecture, where he spoke about going for whatever you want and dream of. He did this speech while being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had only a few month's if not weeks to live. However, you'd never know this, he was doing pushups during this lecture. He looked very healthy, especially for a guy who had a fatal illness. In this lecture he stated something that really made me think this last week about obstacles. We all have obstacles, whether they are health challenges, financial problems, or just telling ourselves we can't do it. Randy tells us in this Last Lecture a brick wall is there in many cases to show how badly we want something, not to keep us out.  July 24, 2022 This is my journaling blog, where I'm going to go on a journey from just being ordinary to being extraordinary. I'm taking an Intro to Entrepreneurship class for the summer semester at BYU-Idaho. I've always been fascinated by entrepreneurs and how they do what they do. If I were to be completely honest, I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur as well, however, when I was growing up my father was an entrepreneur and I thought he did alright. I never figured out why we always seemed to struggle financially when I was growing up. In my home it was either feast or famine, and looking back on it, we were more the famine. I didn't realize we were poor most of the time until later on in life I did some retrospection. I was talking to my father one night on the phone and I told him I never realized we were poor growing up. He stated "Neither did Dolly Parton".
